TikTok pays roughly $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views through its Creator Rewards Program, which works out to $0.0004 to $0.001 per view. One million qualified views earns about $400 to $1,000. Videos under one minute earn nothing from views at all, and a large share of the people watching never count as a qualified view.
TikTok does not publish a rate card. Every figure in this article comes from what creators report from their own dashboards, and we say so each time. The math on top of those figures is ours.
How much does TikTok pay per 1,000 views?
The number creators quote is the RPM, revenue per 1,000 qualified views. The range cited across creator payout reports in 2026 is $0.40 to $1.00, with the United States at the top and markets like Brazil well below it. Niche matters too: finance, business and tech videos report higher rates than entertainment, because advertisers pay more to reach those audiences.
Here is what that range means in money.
Two things change how you should read that table.
First, it counts qualified views, not the number under your video. Creator reports put the qualified share at roughly half of total views on an eligible video, sometimes less. A video showing 200,000 views may be paid on 100,000.
Second, the RPM moves month to month with ad spend. The same video can earn different amounts depending on when it takes off.
How many views do you need to get paid on TikTok?
You need 100,000 video views in the last 30 days just to apply. That is one of several entry conditions for the Creator Rewards Program, the only program on TikTok that pays for views:
- 18 years or older
- At least 10,000 followers
- At least 100,000 video views in the last 30 days
- A Personal account (Business accounts cannot join)
- An account in good standing, with no active Community Guidelines strikes
- Located in a market where the program runs, which includes the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea and Brazil
Then each video has to qualify on its own: longer than one minute, original, and not a duet, a stitch or sponsored content. Anything posted before you were accepted does not earn. TikTok lists the requirements in its Creator AcademyOpens in a new tab.
The practical answer to "how many views to get paid" is therefore two numbers. 100,000 in 30 days to get in. Then, at typical rates, about 1,000 to 2,500 qualified views per dollar.
What counts as a qualified view on TikTok
This is where most of the gap between "views" and "pay" comes from. A view is excluded if it was:
- Watched for fewer than five seconds
- Watched outside the For You feed
- Paid or promoted, including views bought through Promote
- Fraudulent or artificially generated
- From someone who marked the video as "not interested"
Repeat plays from the same person do not stack either. So a video that spreads mostly through shares, profile visits or search can show big numbers and still earn little, because a large part of its audience never reached it through the For You feed. Reposts follow the same logic in reverse: when someone reposts your video, the views land on your original, while reposting someone else's TikTok adds nothing to your own account.
TikTok says the payout on qualified views is then weighted by factors including originality, play duration, search value and audience engagement. Longer average watch time and videos people find through search pay better per view than a scroll-past.
How much does TikTok pay for 1 million views?
About $400 to $1,000 for one million qualified views on an eligible video over one minute. Zero for one million views on a 45-second video.
That second line surprises people, but it is the rule since TikTok closed its old Creator Fund on 16 December 2023 in the US, UK, France and Germany. The Fund paid on short videos but was widely criticised for tiny payouts. Its replacement only pays on videos over a minute, and TikTok said at the time those creators could earn "up to 20 times" what the Fund paid, as reported by TechCrunchOpens in a new tab.
For 100,000 views the same logic gives $40 to $100. For 10 million, $4,000 to $10,000, which is why the creators who live off Creator Rewards alone are the ones posting long videos daily to very large audiences.
The other ways TikTok pays creators
Views are one income line out of six, and usually the smallest.
On gifts: coins cost viewers about a cent each, a Rose is one coin, and creators report keeping roughly 50% of what the viewer spent once Diamonds are withdrawn. TikTok does not publish the split. The subscription figures come from TikTok's US Creator Summit, covered by TubefilterOpens in a new tab. Brand work also exists without posting on your own account: a brand can pay you to make videos it publishes itself, which is what we explain in what is a UGC creator.
Why views are the worst-paid part of TikTok
Here is the calculation that changes how creators plan.
At $0.40 to $1.00 RPM, one $30 sale is worth the same as 30,000 to 75,000 qualified views. Ten sales a week out-earn a video that does a million qualified views every month.
That is not an argument against Creator Rewards. It is an argument for treating views as the top of the funnel rather than the income. The video earns attention. The profile turns attention into a visit. The link under the bio turns the visit into money, whether that is a product, a course, a booking or a newsletter.
Most creators we see optimise hard for the first step and leave the third one to chance. The link is either missing, because the account has not unlocked the Website field yet (we explain how to add a link to your TikTok bio, with or without 1,000 followers), or it sits under a bio that never tells the visitor why to tap it. Our TikTok bio ideas cover that last line.
And TikTok will show you views, not what they turned into. To see which video actually sent paying visitors, you need a tracked link: taps per video, per country, and the revenue behind them. That is what LinkScale measures under the bio, and it is the number that tells you which videos to make more of.
How to earn more per view on TikTok
You cannot set your RPM, but the factors TikTok weights are within reach.
Make eligible videos on purpose. Over one minute, original, posted after you joined. A 58-second video is the most expensive mistake on the platform.
Hold attention past the first seconds. Views under five seconds do not count, and play duration is one of the payout factors.
Be findable. Search value is weighted. Titles, captions and on-screen text that match what people type into TikTok search earn more per view than trend content with no search demand.
Pick your audience's market. Creator reports consistently show higher RPM for US and UK audiences than for Brazil or Mexico. Language and topic decide where your viewers are.
Stack the other lines. LIVE, subscriptions and your own offer do not compete with Creator Rewards. The creators with the steadiest income run all of them from the same audience. If you are weighing where else to post, our comparison of content creator platforms goes through what each one pays for.
Frequently asked questions
Does TikTok pay for views on short videos?
No. Since the Creator Fund closed in December 2023, only videos longer than one minute earn through the Creator Rewards Program. A viral 30-second video earns nothing from its views.
How much does TikTok pay for 100,000 views?
About $40 to $100 for 100,000 qualified views, at the $0.40 to $1.00 RPM creators report. Since only part of your views qualify, the number shown under the video will usually be higher than the one you are paid on.
How many views do you need for $1 on TikTok?
Around 1,000 to 2,500 qualified views on an eligible video, at typical 2026 rates. Before that, you need 10,000 followers and 100,000 views in 30 days to join the program at all.
Does TikTok still have the Creator Fund?
No. TikTok closed the Creator Fund on 16 December 2023 in the US, UK, France and Germany and replaced it with the program now called Creator Rewards.
Can a Business account earn from TikTok views?
No. Creator Rewards is only open to Personal accounts. Business accounts can still earn through their own offers, TikTok Shop and brand work.
How does TikTok pay creators?
Earnings accumulate in your balance and are withdrawn monthly to PayPal or a bank account once you pass your country's minimum, according to creator payout guides. The details sit in the Rewards section of TikTok Studio.
